Runswift, the five-time world RoboCup soccer champion team, are heading to Japan for a showdown against their main rivals – robot teams from Germany and the United States.

The University of New South Wales team, who smashed their way to two consecutive world victories in 2014 and 2015 – but went down ignominiously at the 2016 tournament in Germany – are now convinced they have their mojo back and will be strong contenders to retake the world trophy in Japan.

The 2017 RoboCup World Soccer Championships are being held at the Nagoya International Exhibition Hall from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July 2017.
