Multimillion dollar facilities to benefit students

The new $5.5 million West Coast Secondary Education Support Centre (SESC) was officially opened by WA Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery.

The centre is now co-located on the Warwick Senior High School site.

It includes a new administration area, refurbished classrooms, a dedicated therapy room, and increased access to specialist facilities and resources including the gymnasium, swimming pool, oval, home economics, design and technology, and an art and performing arts room.

Students will have opportunities for inclusion with mainstream classes and students.

The new facilities include a staff and administration building, parking, a pick-up and drop-off area and bus facilities.

West Coast SESC caters for students in Years 7 to 12 with a mild to moderate intellectual disability or autism.
