Today (18 December 2018) marks the final chapter of school for 1373 Territory Year 12 students who have received their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET).
NT Minister for Education Selena Uibo hosted a reception at Parliament House for year 12 finishers and offered her congratulations to all students who obtained their NTCET.
In 2018, the Darwin rural area has the honour of producing the top NT student.
Good Shepherd Lutheran College’s Connor Marshall received an ATAR of 99.70 and a university aggregate of 88.30.
Connor was closely followed by Darwin High School’s Nafi Mazid, who also received an ATAR of 99.70 and a university aggregate of 88.20.
The top Aboriginal student was Kaimani Hendry of St Philip’s College in Alice Springs.
This is the eighth year the NTCET has been awarded.
