WA Premier Mark McGowan has congratulated Curtin University on the launch of its new Dubai campus in the United Arab Emirates September 10 2017.
Curtin is currently recruiting students and staff for the campus, with some foundation programs to commence later this in 2017 ahead of degree programs launching in 2018.
The campus will initially offer business, media, project management, education, and information technology courses, and is looking to expand its course offerings in the coming years.
Dubai has positioned itself as an education hub for the region, with a number of international institutions attracting students from across the Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Africa.
Curtin also operates campuses in Sarawak, Malaysia (opened in 1999), and Singapore (2008).
The WA Government of Western Australia office in Dubai has provided advice and support to Curtin throughout the process of establishing the new campus.
