Scienceworks announces all ages live music event SYNC

Following the success of its sold out live music event in June 2018, Scienceworks has announced an all ages party, just in time to celebrate the September 2018 school holidays. SŸDE and Eilish Gilligan will play live, accompanied by beats from SYN FM DJ’s. 6pm to 10pm, Saturday 22 September 2018.

Beyond Perception: Seeing the Unseen, the brand new gallery aimed at showing young adults the wonders of unseen science, will be open all night. That means you can chill in the comfy chairs in the Cacophony lounge, journey through the electromagnetic spectrum, and bend the fabric of space time to create gravitational waves – get awed by the awesome world that you live in.

Or get hands-on with immersive science and tech pop-ups. Hidden amongst the exhibitions will be chances to explore other worlds in Virtual Reality, and try your hand at gaming or racing robots.

SŸDE are a Melbourne duo just about ready to take over the world with their super dancey, extra punchy dance-pop anthems. Just out of high school, Will & Mitch have already clocked up millions of Spotify streams, worked with some seriously big names, and been finalists in the Triple J Unearthed High competition. SŸDE are one of those acts you’ll be bragging to your pals about seeing when they’re huge.

Eilish Gilligan is a Melbourne singer, songwriter and producer, who has been winning hearts and minds with her warm, spectral pop sound. Having been the vocalist in Japanese Wallpaper’s live band, Eilish has been scoring love from Triple J, Double J, and Unearthed recently, and has toured with Alex Lahey and Confidence Man. Get swept away by her haunting vocals and innovative take on pop music.

There will also be snacks. And DJ’s. And dancing. And lighting so otherworldly you won’t even need a filter. SYNC with your friends and celebrate the school holidays at Scienceworks.
